Not much to get in here besides I was playing around with this animation program that came with my Wacom Tablet I got as a gift for Graduating.
At the time I was having a hard time understanding the program at the time (I'm sure now I would have had a better grasp but I don't have access to that program).
Everything I tried out with this died almost as instantly as I started a project.

Made for my Brother's school project. I forget why Minecraft but whatever. I think there actually WAS a finished file but it's nowhere to be found.

Two starts of some project that than died the same day. The JK Rowling one probably went to fast but oh well.

An animation that was more fan music video of whatever song I was using to bring about a mood. I think it involved some angelic beings or something.

Around this time I got a gaming computer and a Steam account and one of the first purchases I made was gameMaker (the early version pre GM2).
Heavily inspired to start making indie games, I went away making my own starring a character I thought would be perfect, my own mascot platformer character.
That character would be my scarf wearing armoured Dinosaur/lizard character, Rex. It would be a platform shooter and go through many iterations.
Armed with some video tutorials and a vague idea of what my game would be like I made instant good progress.
The idea was originally more space oriented and things kept going until 2016. I won't go into specifics since it's more personal but I ended up being sent to
Prince Edward Island for the summer and that instantly made me lose all interest in what I had at the time, thus puttinhg a brief end to the project.
Despite my resentment during that chapter, I would end up back in Prince Edward Island again a year later as an attempt to move out of my family's home
(well technically moving in with my dad briefly to get work AND THAN move into my own apartment). Things would not pan out well during that era but I did try
again with the project, this time taking inspiration from JRPGS like Ys, Final fantasy, Dragon Quest and the Little tail bronx games.
Work was set again on it when I got a Laptop for work related but also just to do ANYTHING as shoddy and terrible as the Laptop I got was.
The more fantasy (but still somewhat sci fi bent) version of this project became "Beast World" briefly.
At the start of this 2nd version of the game (third version of the Rocket rex saga) I hit my first setback when I found out I only have the demo version of Game Maker 2.
This ALMOST killed the project until a good friend of mine, who goes by Cakie online, out of sheer kindess bought the full version for me (I was still job hunting at the time).
For Clarification, When I got to PEI, I was sending resumes out to places with no results, the stress got to me and I thought while looking for work, If I do something
More adjacent to my passion, like game deving, I could somehow make a living from that if my job hunting was failing. This was I think what prompted my friend to help BUT
I still feel kinda guilty, in a way. Still I'm grateful and I still have that version of GameMaker and still wish to make something with it.
Back to this, With the newly bought Game Maker 2 studio, I chipped away at a game that would be a sidescrolling, hack n' slash and shooter/platforming hybrid RPG game.
You would have companion characters that you could use via drop down menus for chaotic battles throughout especially during boss sections which is where the game Would have thrived.
Smashed Laptops, Actually getting work but working in miserable janitorial jobs to Call centres later, I threw in the towel and gave up on my PEI Endeavour to move back with my
Mom's side of the family in the Greater Vancouver area of BC. With that, a collateral casuality of the move was this version of the game. Mini attempts happened but eventually
I gave up on any interest in the game project. Recently a resurgeance in wanting to make this project a reality happened. I have Ideas but I might make Rocket Rex into an
Animation again with a game Tie In but much smaller in scale.

A Sort of side game made around the same time as Rocket Rex where you use both awsd and arrow keys controls to control both a Bunny girl and a fixed turret protecting her.
It's sort of like a puzzle/shooter hybrid game where you help this bunny girl around a maze while shooting down enemies but moving her around to an exit while she does puzzles.
I don't remember why I dropped this game other than maybe this died the same time as the being sent off whithout my consent to PEI situation in 2016.

I am missing footage from here but I have made so many incomplete and terrible Doom Maps who were destined to never see the light of day.
Still gonna attempt a map again one day.

From a dream I had, i wanted to adapt it into a strange Half Life mod that begins with a space battle where raiders enter the wrecked ships after the battle.
Upon entering the ship you, the player, finds it's this strange surreal nightmare.
The Mod ended up being scrapped moreso cause I could not use Hammer or other alternatives.

Inspired by the Game progress of Half Life Game Mode turned full stand alone game, I wanted to create as a jumping off point a multiplayer game based on my love of Kaiju Movies.
It would have more ambitious ideas that I would have implemented later but I wanted to start with the basics, a multiple Human squad vs one Kaiju monster in a destructible map.
I lost interest due to the fact that someone else made a similar Kaiju multiplayer game (the end result of where this mod would have jumped to). I could try again, who knows.
A Short Claymation one off about a head with spider legs that I dropped after not being able to pull off an effect.
